Giving is a
part of our worship. It’s an expression of our love and
devotion to God. Giving has little to do with what a
person has; it’s more about a person’s attitude when one
gives. Giving is more than money; it is about the desires
of our hearts and our motives. When we put God first and
tithe, we are recognizing divine ownership. (Psalm 24:1)
We are
encouraged in Proverbs 3:9 to, “Honor the Lord with your
possessions (wealth) and from the first of all your produce
(first fruits of all your increase.)
As we grow
in our love for God, our tendency becomes to view others
from His eternal perspective.
